- More than you want to know about me
I wasn't born here, but
almost my whole life since 2nd grade I've been an Alaskan. I graduated from
the Juneau-Douglas high school, then from the University of Alaska in
Fairbanks, then studied the
aurora
(northern lights) at the the University's Geophysical Institute. When I
finally had enough school I started work for Alaska state government with the last ten
years as
DP manager for the state dept of labor. I enjoy summer salmon fishing in
Juneau and winter vacations in Mexico. An ambition is to win the
Golden North Salmon Derby
which will probably require
divine intervention as
I've fished it dozens of times and rarely catch a legal king during the derby.
- Stuff of mine at least vaguely related to PowerTroll
- nFP - Software only floating point
for Brainstem. Works but not extensively tested. Too slow for what I wanted
to do. Here is an example
showing how it can be used to do square roots, and here is an excel
workbook
showing how trig tables can be generated in nFP format.
- Data logging
onto brainstem eeprom. Written as a 'learning experience' to understand
brainstem, devantech compass, tea programming, and other aspects of
Acroname's technology. It's an excel workbook (with the .tea program
pasted in as doc) and it contains a macro your download may complain about but you can
safely disabled the macro (unless you want to use it).
- Other stuff of mine not even close to related...
- AM-100 emulator - Open
source emulator for Alpha-Micro am-100 computer, with lots of am-100 manuals
and software.
- CompareEM -
an MS-Access tool to compare two Access databases and generate VBA to
migrate one to the other.
- Visit Juneau!
Best king fishing April/May. Best silver fishing
Aug/Sept. Best weather usually June/July, but the only thing you can really
say about Juneau weather is that the weather guy is almost
always wrong.
